About Us

Our Florida Abortion Clinics offer surgical and medication abortion services as well as emergency contraception (abortion by pill). Our mission will always be to provide all women and their families with the highest quality abortion care available at the lowest possible cost.

Dr. Pendergraft founded the Women’s Centers so patients could end their pregnancies with the most advanced abortion procedures in a supportive, comfortable environment while being treated compassionately, respectfully and without judgment. The Physicians at the Women’s Centers have been highly trained in performing abortion services from prior to the woman missing her first menstrual period to the late second trimester of pregnancy. We utilize the most advanced medical and surgical induction techniques.

Most abortion clinics do not perform early surgical abortion procedures due to unskilled or untrained Physicians and staff. Advancement in early abortion methods does not require patients to wait until 6 to 7 weeks pregnant to terminate a pregnancy. The procedure can be performed as early as 3 to 4 weeks from the last menstrual period.

At the Women’s Centers, the early abortion services we offer for terminating pregnancy are the non-surgical or medical abortion (abortion pill) or our early surgical procedure. No waiting is necessary. No more surgery that entails scraping the inside of the uterus (womb). With the procedure being able to be performed earlier in pregnancy, there is less pain involved and therefore most women can tolerate the procedure without any form of sedation or pain medications.

Creating beautiful landscapes and providing quality lawn care services for years, Earthscape 2000 is proud to serve the Orlando area. We specialize in landscaping, lawn care, lawn services, landscape architecture, lawn maintenance, and more. We take pride in providing professional and quality services for a reasonable price. We understand that times are tough at the moment but we believe that your landscape shouldn't have to suffer because of it. Choose Earthscape 2000 for all of your landscaping needs!

Thirty-five years after the Supreme Court's landmark Roe v. Wade decision, a pill that has largely faded from the rancorous public debate over abortion has slowly and quietly begun to transform the experience of ending a pregnancy in the United States. The French abortion pill RU-486, on the market since 2000, has become an increasingly common alternative, making abortion less clinical and more private. At a time when the overall number of abortions has been steadily declining, RU-486-induced abortions have been rising by 22 percent a year and now account for 14 percent of the total -- and more than one in five early abortions performed by the ninth week of pregnancy. The pill, often called "miffy" after its chemical name mifepristone and brand name Mifeprex, also has helped slow the decline in abortion providers, as more physicians who previously did not perform the procedure discreetly start to prescribe the pill. "The impact and the promise is huge," said Beth Jordan, medical director of the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. "It's going a long way towards normalizing abortion." When the Food and Drug Administration approved mifepristone in 2000, some predicted it would revolutionize the abortion experience and debate by enabling women to get an abortion from any doctor, neutralizing one of opponents' most potent strategies -- picketing abortion clinics.

Wikipedia

Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo, resulting in or caused by its death. An abortion can occur spontaneously due to complications during pregnancy or can be induced, in humans and other species. In the context of human pregnancies, an abortion induced to preserve the health of the gravida (pregnant female) is termed a therapeutic abortion, while an abortion induced for any other reason is termed an elective abortion. The term abortion most commonly refers to the induced abortion of a human pregnancy, while spontaneous abortions are usually termed miscarriages. Worldwide 42 million abortions are estimated to take place annually with 22 million of these occurring safely and 20 million unsafely. While maternal mortality seldom results from safe abortions, unsafe abortions result in 70,000 deaths and 5 million disabilities per year. One of the main determinants of the availability of safe abortions is the legality of the procedure. Forty percent of the world's women are able to access therapeutic and elective abortions within gestational limits. The frequency of abortions is, however, similar whether or not access is restricted. Abortion has a long history and has been induced by various methods including herbal abortifacients, the use of sharpened tools, physical trauma, and other traditional methods.
